Since our last reunion, I graduated from the university of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1996. and truthfully it was much easier for me as an adult versus a seventeen year old. Even though I was a “non-traditional” graduate, I was able to find a job right away – and one I like! I work in Madison as a contractor for the State of Wisconsin. I work with Information Technology Project Management as a Customer Service Support Specialist and really enjoy it! I work with a great group of people, learn a lot, and have a good time – can’t ask for much better than that!
Given I’ve spent most of the past six years in school, my children and I haven’t been able to go on any extended vacations. So this month we’re going to Mexico for a week to visit a friend of ours. Last year, she and I spent 3 weeks in Mexico and had a great time. So great that she sold her house to me and my boys and moved there. It worked out great for us. We got a house and a friend to visit in Mexico. Again, can’t ask for much better than that!
I’m not sure that I really have any great words of wisdom. Lots of sayings, lessons, and experiences come to mind, but I’m sure we’ve all had them in some form or another. Basically, I guess my thought is this: Live life to the fullest and live it now because it isn’t very long! I am absolutely amazed I am attending my 25-Year Class Reunion. It doesn’t seem that long ago that my mother told me she was going to her 25-Year reunion. I can’t believe how fast time has passed!
